For the past 30 years, motherhood has been my priority. Although working two jobs and owning businesses have gotten in the way most of the time, I have always remained vigilant about making sure that whenever I could give them time it is good quality time. I wanted nothing but the best for my three precious angels: good education, solid faith formation, and happy family life.
A house is a roof over your head, but a home is where your heart is.
So now that my son is married and has moved to San Antonio, the idea of starting this blog came about while planning and styling his home. As difficult as it is to let children leave their nest, it is a huge sense of fulfillment to see that my son has turned out to be good person ready to face the challenges of this world. As he begins a new life, we wanted to make sure that we give him a new comfortable home as he starts his own family.
You may ask, “How do you plan to do that?” Well, it is my hope that he shall be a good provider through the education we have provided as well as be an exemplary example of a God-fearing man and loving father to his children. These attributes, I do not doubt he can be, but I wasn’t so sure about providing a safe and efficient home yet.
So, yes, we’re giving him a home, not a house! The goal is to create a home setting that will nurture love and harmony as well as encourage dreams. It will be a long-term and long distance project! It also gave me an excuse to travel a little and go junkin’ big time!
